Hot Female Artists at Christie’s London Evening Sales

This past week, Christie’s kicked off London’s auction season with two back-to-back evening sales bringing in £167.8 million ($202.2 million). Among those sold included contemporary female stars who broke their low estimates with strong prices realized:

Cristina Banban / Sold: £163,800 / Estimate: £50,000 -£70,000

Caroline Walker / Sold: £693,000 / Estimate: £150,000-£200,000

Ewa Juszkiewicz / Sold: £630,000 / Estimate: £300,000-£500,000

Claire Tabouret / Sold: £529,200 / Estimate: £250,000-£350,000

Tracey Emin / Sold: £1,362,000 / Estimate: £500,000-£700,000

Shara Hughes / Sold: £630,000 / Estimate: £200,000-£300,000
