Born in Michigan in 1987, and now based in Los Angeles, artist Nina Klein uses a variety of media such as gouache paint and pen on paper to create abstracted figures that highlight and advocate for femininity. Her current body of work shows a spectrum of the female experience; the figures embody strength, humor, vulnerability, sexuality and pain through soft and simplified shapes. Her work has been shown in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Miami. Her work has also been featured in a variety of magazines such as the Knot, Foreign Look, Cayenne Agency and Makers Mag. She has also been featured with Aldo Shoes.
